Why Scott and Johanna Built This
After losing his job during the recession with a newborn at home, Scott Schuessler rebuilt from scratch. A physical therapy clinic. Medicare audits. Real estate. Construction. Along the way, he and Johanna kept discovering the same truth: the people around you matter as much as the work you do.
A trip to Africa crystallized it. Shared experience builds real trust. You do not network your way to lasting relationships. You travel, struggle, celebrate, and show up for people until they know you.
Adventure Unknown opened its clubhouse in 2023 as the physical home for that belief. A curated community in St. Louis where driven people work, train, travel, and actually become friends.
